We Live in a world filled with competing truth claims. Everyday we are faced with declarations that some thing is true and the other false. Many at times we are told what to believe and what not to. But as believers (God’s people), we need to be affirmed that there is only one thing that legitimately function as the supreme standard and that is God’s word. Truly, the treasure of God’s word are fathomless (Rom 11:33). His word stands as a counsel forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations (Psalm 33:11). By God’s word we were born again (1 Peter 1:23), by it we grow (1 Peter 2:2), and by it we walk through life as it lights the path for our feet (Psalm 119:105)
Isaiah 40:8 says “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth but the word of our God stands for ever. If you ever think to yourself, “I need to know what is true— what is true about me, true about the world, true about the future, true about the past, true about life, true about my present circumstance and true about God,” then come to God’s word. It teaches only what is true: “Sanctify them in the truth,” Jesus said; “your word is truth’.
One thing you must value and appreciate above every other thing as a believer, regardless of the circumstance you’re faced with, or what life throws at you is God’s word
