The Reality of Emmanuel

The prophets of old prophesied of the promise of a coming messiah whose name is Emmanuel meaning God with us [Isa 7:14, Matt 1:23, 1Tim 3:16]. The birth of Jesus was the fulfillment of that prophecy. But you’d wonder, did it stop there? No, it didn’t, it was just the beginning. Jesus promised his disciples in John 14:16 that he’d send the comforter i.e. the holy ghost even after he departs from the earth. On Christ’s resurrection and ascension, that promise became much more vivid and evident. He became, God in us, God with us and God for us (Eph 4:4-6)
At the new birth, one of the things that happened to man is receiving the gift of the holy spirit (the indwelling of the spirit). You received the life of God and you were sealed with the holy ghost of promise.

Eph 1:13 says “In whom you having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also having believed, you were sealed with the holy ghost of promise”.

The one thing that God promised us, even from the beginning of time is the promise of his presence with us at all times and that promised has been fulfilled today and it’s now a reality. Now we are a branch engrafted in the vine (Christ Jesus) who is in the father. Hallelujah!!!

For an efficient, effective, and victorious Christian walk, the one thing you always have to be conscious of is that God is at work in you and he is with you at all times. Living in this consciousness doesn’t only make you a victor or an overcomer, but it makes you acknowledge God in everything you do and makes you serve him in reverence and Godly fear
You are in Christ, Christ is in you, and He is in the father and He is with you always even unto the ends of the earth (Matt 28:20).
