Be Like the Bamboo 2

    2. Don’t Abandon your God-Given Dream

Often, people will water the ground for a time but then, become discouraged quickly. We start to wonder if it’s worth all of the effort. This is particularly true when we see our friends, families, neighbors having success in some areas of their lives. unless we understand the growth pattern of the bamboo, you might become discouraged and assume that there is something wrong with the plant because it isn’t growing. we start to think, “If I had done it this way, I would probably be seeing results by now.” Many tend to walk away from their dream or even their Christian faith in exchange for a “sure thing”, yet they are dissatisfied because they are not living the vision and dream that God put in their heart.

    3. Significant Growth Takes Time

For our seed to become a tree, it must go through a process of maturation. Often, it is difficult to see all the signals through all the noise. Hebrews 10:36 says “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” Even if you feel stagnant because your growth isn’t visible, don’t give up, don’t stop trying! The reality is that your “roots” are deepening. The Key to Growing Up is Often Found by Growing Down!

Remember this “If the bamboo plant had not developed a strong unseen foundation, it could not have sustained its life as it grew”

It takes faith to work while you wait. It takes belief in yourself to keep going. You’d always get rewarded for your labor – sometimes now, oftentimes later, always eventually. You have to keep fighting!
