Vs 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was
Vs 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Forget according to this scripture would mean the person doesn’t take account. Many times, when we come across contradictory circumstances, we often time forget. We forget because we don’t deem it important. We don’t give it an important role; we don’t put them on our minds. Many times, if we can consult the things we have heard before, seen before, done before, we would not make mistake(s) today.
As believers, we have a duty not to forget (1Tim 4:6, 2Tim 2:8)
The things not to forget as we continue in our journey (Christian walk)
a. The experiences the Lord has granted you in the walk of the ministry. This would bring light and guidance to you and many others. Don’t downplay the experiences even though they might not have been pleasant. 2Cor 1:4 “Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we receive from God” Learn not to despise your experiences
b. You Mustn’t forget Instructions. Rather than obey the former ones, we like to look for new things. Don’t become a warehouse of prophecies and do none. Don’t always be inclined to hear new things. When prophecies come to us, we go to war with them. Wage good warfare with instructions. Don’t Forget the Leadings of the spirit.
c. Don’t Forget the Relationships God put in your lives. Repair and strengthen relationships God has led you into. As a believer, you have to learn to build lasting relationships except God says otherwise. God will always use men. Men are always the center plan. Don’t bite the hands that once fed you.
As we go, let’s not forget these things………..
